Atmospheric fine art prints of Maine and Ecuador. The ephemeral moments when light transforms the ordinary.

mood over majesty.

There is treasure everywhere. You just have to slow down enough to see it.

These are not grand vistas demanding attention. They are intimate moments — fog lifting from a harbor at dawn, frost that melts by noon, the way light falls through a window in winter. Walls that whisper rather than shout.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Paul H. Chacon

Based on the coast of Maine, I've spent years chasing the quiet moments most photographers overlook — the fog rolling in before dawn, the way light bends through storm clouds, the stillness just before everything changes.

My work is guided by a simple philosophy: mood over majesty. I'm less interested in grand vistas than in intimate, fleeting atmospheres — the kind of scenes that feel like memories even as they're happening.

When I'm not photographing Maine's coastline, I'm documenting the landscapes and quiet corners of Ecuador, where I've developed a deep connection to places most travelers never see.

Perched on a rocky headland at the entrance to Rockland Harbor, Owls Head Light has guided mariners along the Maine coast since 1825. This image captures a rare moment of stillness—the lighthouse beam cutting through the evening fog, its warm glow a quiet defiance against the approaching dusk.

The grasses bend in the salt wind. The stairs disappear into the mist. And for just a moment, two centuries of history feel present in the frame.
