Birds of Maine

Throughout my career as a photographer I have own most of the known brands of cameras and lenses used by the pros. I started with the Pentax system, which was an incredibly lucky decision to enter the field: Pentax cameras are build to withstand the rigors of the field while still producing beautiful images. As I’ve matured in my career I find myself left with a Canon 6D Mark II and 2 FujiFilm bodies: the XT3 and the XH2. The latter has a sensor the delivers an unreal amount of megapixels, not sure why, but it is because of this feature that for the first time in my photographic career I have decided to try my hand at wild life photography, specifically: birds. I am lucky enough to live less than 500 feet away from a river where birds of prey gather to feast on fish and alewives to such an extent that photographers from all over the country come to photograph this spectacle of nature. The cormorants swim; the osprey dive; the seagulls opportunistic nature have them waiting; and the eagles bully and take what they want
